Sending a Watch
Did you just sell a watch or are you in the process of selling one? Our tips can help you make sure your watch will make it to the buyer safely. Check off the items on our checklist to make sure you haven't forgotten anything.
When planning to sell a watch, there are a few things you should consider in advance. The first thing is usually the price you want to get. It's best to budget for shipping costs before creating your listing so that you receive the total amount you were hoping for.
Once the ad for your watch is live, potential buyers will be asking if the delivery costs are included in the indicated price. It's wise to have already added the delivery costs to your desired price so that the watch doesn't all of a sudden become "retroactively more expensive" for your buyers. This also grants you a bit more wiggle room during price negotiations.
It is very important to look into the customs regulations for the particular country you're shipping to and to attach all the necessary documents so that your watch reaches the buyer without a hitch. Ask about legal guidelines (e.g., for an alligator band). Register your shipment with customs in advance and check in with your buyer, as they will have to cover any customs duties that may potentially occur.
To guarantee your watch remains intact during shipment, be sure to use correctly sized packaging and a sufficient amount of filler material. The packaging should not be too big; otherwise, the box containing the watch may be jostled. Use enough filler material (e.g., bubble wrap) to protect your watch from impacts. Your watch should be held securely in place by the materials both in its box as well as the secondary packaging.

The recipient's address
It may seem obvious, but make sure that the address is correct, complete, and easy to read on the packaging or shipping label. The shipping address must match the address found in your myChrono24 account. If the buyer has provided you with a different address, please get in touch with our support team.
Once you have sent the watch, be sure to share its tracking number with the buyer. This allows them to follow the delivery and know its current status.
