Kristian Haagen

I have loved watches since I was a kid. My earliest watch-related memories go back to 1976, flipping through my family’s extensive collection of National Geographic magazines. The first pages were full of watch ads, and I realized that many of the explorers, divers, mountaineers inside the magazine often wore one of the watches from the ads, e.g., Rolex or Omega. Hence, watches became a hero product for me. I worked as an Art Director for many years, but have been collecting watches since I was about 20 years old. By the time I sold a small agency in 2005, I had already published my first book on watches and decided to follow my passion – and here I am, eight watch books later.
