Luminor Base: An Elegant Timepiece Collection
Designed in a simplistic and elegant style, the design of the Luminor Base can be dated back to 1940 when the collection saw the dawn in the watchmaking world. The watch was developed for the Italian navy which wanted a reliable and accurate timepiece while carrying the naval operations. The initial designing of the Luminor base was done in a subtle form featuring only an hour and a minute function and worked on a self wound mechanical movement.
Following the Panerai tradition, the Luminor Base has evolved as a legendary collection in the brand’s lineage. The craftsmanship of the watches has been done in an elegant style along with housing the prerequisites of a diver timepiece. The Luminor Base collection assimilates a series of various timepieces designed under the brand flagship.
With a 44mm diameter case size, this diver timepiece comes with a water resistance capacity up to 1000 ft in deep waters. The luminescent minute and hour markers are positioned in the black sandwich shaped dial providing clear readability in the dark conditions.
Housed in a stainless steel case, the working of the manual winding movement is exhibited with sapphire crystal case protecting the case. The Luminor Base PAM 112 comes in a black leather calfskin strap but can also be replaced with a black rubber strap giving it a sporty look. The deployment clasp attached to the rubber strap is made of stainless steel. With a fixed stainless steel bezel, an exquisite contrast is created with the white numerals positioned on the black dial.
