Launched in 2005 as part of one of the first full collections produced in partnership between Breitling and Bentley, the chronograph merges signature traits from both auto and watchmaker into a timepiece which is truly unique. The longstanding partnership between esteemed Swiss watchmaker Breitling and British luxury automaker Bentley is arguably unmatched in the history of horology. Tracing back to 2002, the relationship began with Bentley commissioning Breitling to produce an on-board clock for the Continental GT, ever since continuing and resulting in a steady stream of interesting collaborative timepieces and cars over the span of more than two decades.

In the Bentley 6.75 collection, we have an early iteration of that relationship in the form of an entire series. The collection was named for Bentley’s esteemed 6.75L engines like those found in the L-series V8. The collection encompassed a diverse range of luxury chronographs that merged both Breitling and Bentley influences, being best remembered for their sporty wear and distinct bezel inspired by the automaker’s honeycomb radiator grille motif.

The Breitling for Bentley 6.75 Speed was a transitional name for the newly designed 6.75 dial adding sunken subdials with a chrome edging, but for the most part remains unchanged. The cosmetic dial change gave the model a new Reference number, but in 2011 reverted back to the 6.75 Model name.
