Description

This is an automatically translated text.
Jaeger-LeCoultre K800/c manual winding 18 carat

I bought this watch from Vintage London Watches.
As my wife never wears it, we are parting with this magnificent piece.
Some of the photos and the following text are from Vintage Watch London.
This is for the simple reason that they take better photos and descriptions than I do.
The photos on the wooden background are from today.
For the straps you have the choice between a black calfskin or a blue crocodile.
If you have any questions please contact me.

So now the text from Vintage Watch London. The proof of purchase for 2800 gbp (approx. 3300€) is available.

Jaeger-LeCoultre watches are all about the perfection of their movement, the wonderful aesthetics and the quality of their watch cases. Here you have the absolute certainty that when you buy a Jaeger-LeCoultre, you are buying one of the finest watches available. It is a perfect example with the classic jlc crosshair that simply exudes style, elegance and pure class.

The dial:
The beautifully elegant cream-colored crosshair dial features gold-plated baton hour markers. The crosshair is typical of the Jaeger-LeCoultre style and beautifully emphasizes the symmetry of the dial.
The dial is very simply signed with an applied gold-plated mark "jl", Jaeger-LeCoultre and "Swiss Made". The overall look, as with all Jaeger-LeCoultre models, is one of classic simplicity and elegance. The glass is new and was replaced with a new original as part of the restoration.

The watch case

The two-part 18-carat rose gold case measures 34 mm, excluding the original jl-signed crown.
As with all jlc watch cases, the quality of design, construction and finish is evident. This is a two-piece press-fit construction with an integrated bezel for better water and dust resistance. It is beautifully finished and noticeably more robust and heavier than even the best of its peers.
The case has been carefully inspected, cleaned and lightly polished and is in pristine condition with no scratches, dents, pitting or other marks visible to the naked eye.

As expected, the inside of the case bears the Swiss trademark LeCoultre and the patent Brevet +76929, as well as the Swiss hallmarks 18ct, 18ct 0.750, swiss and the model reference number 2285, with the external serial number 825458A. This number is unique and indicates that the case has not been over-polished. In addition, the case back is full thickness and has never been engraved.

Strap & Buckle
A new, high-quality Sea Blue Crocodile leather strap has been used, which we think complements the watch with a rose gold-plated jlc buckle.

Box and papers
Although there are no original papers for this watch, the reference numbers, markings, signatures and markings for this watch from 1962 match. Detailed information is included with your proof of purchase. You will receive our unique 'Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee' which states "If this watch is found to be anything other than completely genuine or is not as described Vintage Gold Watches of London will offer you a full refund at any time. "

The high-quality hardwood presentation box shown in the photos is included in the sale.

In conclusion
This is exactly the sort of rare and interesting clock that we love to find, restore and offer for sale to you here. It is many times more elegant than the modern equivalent clock, and if made today, the same standard of quality and finishing would cost many thousands of pounds.

Even though this watch is over fifty years old, it is still absolutely fresh, reliable and extremely practical, just as you would want it to be as an everyday watch, but it is above all a thing of beauty to wear, use, appreciate and enjoy. If you like to think of it that way, it is also an excellent investment or heirloom, because with each passing year the world market for vintage gold watches is growing and supply is becoming increasingly scarce, coupled with a particularly high demand from further east means that prices are bound to go higher and higher!

A fine example of a timeless classic from one of the most prestigious names in watchmaking that, with careful treatment, offers outstanding reliability and a sound financial investment that will last as long as the watch itself!
I am selling privately and therefore exclude any liability for material defects.
I am not a dealer but just a collector with too many watches.
The pictures are part of the description. You are welcome to visit or pick up the watch in Freiburg by appointment.
